Direct Sales Agent-OKC Job in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma US

Direct Sales agent is responsible for selling Membership and Insurance products*, and for providing outstanding customer service to members and customers. Agent proactively solicits new business, and participates in promotions, events and marketing activities.

* Products / Services Handled:

- Property/Homeowners Insurance Sales (primary - all states)

- Auto Insurance Sales (primary - all states)

- Outbound Lead Generation (primary)

- Membership Sales (primary)

- Membership Servicing - Basic Billing, Renewals, and Account Updates (secondary)

Main Responsibilities:

- Seeks new business opportunities and/or responds to sales leads from various sources.

- Handles business reply card responses and welcome calls to generate leads.

- Cross-sell and up-sell members and customers.

- Communicate with and retain at risk members

- Communicates benefits of membership to prospective members and opens new accounts.

- Processes insurance sales inquiries and transactions for multiple states.

- Asks member relevant questions to determine necessary insurance coverage; provides quotes on new insurance policies.

- Applies consistent and accurate underwriting guidelines, and complies with internal and external regulatory underwriting standards.

- Writes new insurance policies and binds coverage.

- Provides inbound assistance to members and policyholders utilizing cross-sell and up-sell insurance products.

Knowledge, Skills Abilities

Required:

- Proven Sales Ability

- Current PC License

- Ability to work both day and evening shifts

- Clear verbal and written communication skills

- At least 1 year prior experience in contact center insurance sales plus at least 1 year insurance sales strongly recommended

- Knowledgeable in relevant applications (e.g., MemberPoint, Mileage Calculator etc.) skills

- Thorough knowledge of internal and external regulatory underwriting guidelines

- Demonstrate poise under pressure

- Ability to multi-task and navigate multiple system applications simultaneously

Preferred:

- 2 years call center experience

- College degree

- Use consultative selling techniques to identify appropriate products and services.

- Knowledgeable in Microsoft applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Outlook, etc.)

- Analytical and problem solving skills

- Consultative, sales and negotiation skills

- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
