Liberty Resources is currently looking for Direct Support Professional
who can make a difference in people's life.
The Direct Support Professional assists residents in the IRA by providing instruction and attendant care to the residents with activities of daily living including; feeding, personal hygiene, dressing, and housekeeping. The Direct Support Professional is a positive role model for clients and works to expand and integrate clients into the community setting. Regularly involved in recreational activities which help support the goals established by each resident.
High school diploma required. Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or related field preferred. Must have a valid Driver’s License and be able to use personal car for transporting consumers. Must have strong interpersonal skills and effective oral and written communication skills. Must constantly move about; ability to work independently ascend/descend stairways; observe, instruct, supervise consumers in all activities of daily living. Ability to lift, transfer or physically assist consumers may be required. Must have technical skills in the area of household management. Computer competency. Demonstrate sound judgment, aptitude and ability to work with DD population. Is sensitive to cultural differences and able to incorporate that understanding into service provision.
