Description: - DIRECTIONAL DRILLERS, ALASKA (1206765) Job Description DIRECTIONAL DRILLERS, ALASKA ( Job Number: 1206765) ROLE SYNOPSIS Baker Hughes, located in Alaska, is currently seeking DIRECTIONAL DRILLERS to work on an approximate 12 hour shift or more, including both day and evening hours. This position also requires 24 hour on-call flexibility to provide backup at the wellsite as needed. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES * This position is stationed on location with operators providing the direction to steer the well. * Will receive information from LWD's also on site * Provides direct instruction and supervision to junior level Field Engineers on day-to-day well site work and activities * Provides advice and direction to external customers and third-party well site colleagues. * Offers resolution to a diverse scope and range of complex problems at the well site * Acts as a project leader and mentors junior level field engineers * Executes other duties as assigned * Conducts all duties and business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values. BASIC REQUIREMENTS * High School Diploma/or equivalent * Industry experience and product line training required * Demonstrated proficiency in the skill profile required for the delivery of directional systems services at the well site required * Expected to work in challenging directional systems environments * Ability to relate to well site personnel at all levels, present as a strong team member, and demonstrate leadership capability required. * Ability to work efficiently in teams required * Ability to perform duties in harsh outdoor weather conditions required * Strong organizational skills PREFERRED/DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS * 3-5 years of oil and gas drilling experience preferred * Previous experience with horizontal/directional drilling systems drilling highly preferred * Demonstrated leadership, mentoring experience preferred.
