Director – Credit Risk (Metals) recruitment
An investment bank’s Commodities business has enjoyed successful growth in recent years and it is now seen as a core business within Global Markets trading both physical and financial products (Base/Precious/Rare Metals, Coal, Carbon, Electricity, Gas, Oil, Iron Ore, Steel, Freight etc.). In 2012, the Firm plans to further expand the commodities franchise in Asia and is seeking a senior CRM office with deep knowledge and expertise across the Commodities sector to help support the growth platform.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for working with transaction deal teams to ensure comprehensive due diligence is completed, analyzed and presented to the appropriate approval authority
- To ensure that the credit recommendation reflects all attending risks
- To analyze deal structure and documentation
A successful candidate will have direct experience of working in a commodities credit risk function. A solid working knowledge of commodity-related industries (utilities, oil and gas, pipelines, metals and mining, etc.), the due diligence process, exposure to various forms of documentation, finance/accounting, and standard derivative instruments is expected as well as broad knowledge of products and market conventions.
