Enterprise Architecture located in Columbus IN. Key Responsibilities: - Provide leadership of IT Enterprise Architecture and Product Portfolio Management disciplines across the CMI IT stack - Translate Architecture theories and best practices into practical and workable solutions for the Cummins computing environment - Develop and implement processes to rollout consistent global architectural standards across all Cummins business units, functions, and geographies - Build and maintain an understanding of business unit and functional operations to develop future direction of Cumminsâ?? enterprise architecture. - Establishing the relationships and processes necessary to engage with senior IT and business leaders to envisioning activities and provide facilitation for critical IT and business decisions - Maintaining awareness of industry trends and leading practices in Cumminsâ?? business and functional domains, and also with regard to the effective utilization of technology to support business objectives. - Management of the risks associated with information and IT assets through appropriate standards and security policies. - Collaborate with IT Strategy and the Enterprise Program Management Office (ePMO) to: o Establish a global enterprise IT toolkit and future capabilities which represent an efficient and cohesive application, technology, and data landscape o Establish and maintain enterprise lifecycle roadmaps representing a 3-5 year view of introductions, maintenance, and retirements of technology capabilities - Utilize a common architecture framework and reference model as the organizing construct for all IT technical and functional discussions and representation of the technical toolkit - Establish key business-driven performance metrics to measure Enterprise Architecture execution - Definition and execution of key IT strategies which address global growth and fit for market objectives - Maintain an awareness of industry trends in combination with business and functional requirements to drive application and technology research and selections - Coaching and mentoring of Enterprise Architects in support of their career development goals - Management of the financial budget for the Enterprise Architecture organization Skills: SKILLS - FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL: - Good understanding of one or more business sectors, preferably manufacturing, and the issues driving change in those sectors and the relationship of business strategy options to IT solutions - Advisory level expertise for broad range of hardware, software, application, and systems engineering and ability to keep oneself up-to-date with new and emerging technologies and trends - Knowledge of IT governance and operations - Knowledge of financial modeling as it pertains to IT investment - Project and program management planning and organizational skills - Commercial awareness with the ability to understanding board level issues - presence to impress at executive level - Focused and clear thinker, a listener who is able to formulate and project a clear strategy. Must be able to communicate complex technical issues in a way that non-technical people may understand SKILLS - QUALITY/IMPROVEMENT: - IT Functional Excellence experience required â?? demonstrated experience of developing enterprise best practices for an IT function - Six Sigma experience desirable â?? ability to use 6S practices and measures in IT architecture - Customer Focus â?? Ability to view problems from user perspective - Process Redesign â?? Ability to envision and implement new work processes
