Director
Whilst the individual will work closely with the portfolio management teams the role is primarily client-facing, focused on supporting sales and servicing activities. This person will be engaged in client communications both via travel and conference calls.
Principal Accountabilities:
- provide topical market and strategy updates to sales teams on a regular basis
- proactively communicate investment opportunities and sales propositions
- provide thought leadership, to include written materials for external publication as well as inputs into long term thematic research
- update marketing materials and contribute to RFPs
- agree appropriate guidelines and characteristics for mandates
- act as media spokesman for equities capabilities
- attend client meeting and seminars/events
Product Development and Strategy
initiate and steer the evolution of product capabilities (e.g. fund launches, re-organisation), act as a key point person for fund launches.
- maintain solid understanding of competitive positioning
- recommend distribution strategies for product set
- contribute to the strategy of the global equity product set
Required knowledge / experience
Strong Macro-Economic outlook and a passion of geo polotical themes
In depth understanding of equities markets, and some experience of Thematics investing
Strong presentation and communication skills
Extensive travel may be required.
