Director

The role:

• The role will entail managing a designated portfolio of Oil and Gas investment grade multinational and national customer relationships in order to identify and satisfy customer needs in the most appropriate way meeting Bank credit and profitability requirements.

• Prepare, manage and monitor business plans for the sector and client portfolio in order to meet customer profitability / return on asset requirements and business objectives.

• Develop, structure and review their proposals in order to meet customer and bank requirements and identify opportunities to develop further income, recommending and implementing the appropriate solutions working in partnership with stakeholder colleagues across the range of product and risk disciplines.

• Manage the customer interface on behalf of the business unit and other bank stakeholders in order to ensure institutional relationships are fostered from executive level through to local quality of service.

• Negotiate terms and conditions of credit facilities and services after consulting with all relevant stakeholders in markets, risk and execution and prepare the proposal in order to gain approval for, or authorise when appropriate, global credit exposure.

• Develop business leads and introductions, as appropriate, in order to maximise new to bank business growth for the Group within defined strategy.

• Manage, motivate, develop and appraise team members as required, so that their individual and collective performance meets the current and future needs of the business undertaking the recruitment process when required.

 

The successful candidate will:

• Work within Corporate Banking teams focused on UK Multinational Oil Gas corporates

• Have experience marketing to and negotiating with multinational Oil and Gas Corporates - including an active and demonstrable network of contacts at senior level

• Have wider Oil and Gas industry knowledge, structure and key areas/ risks, including geopolitical understanding, technical knowledge and industry specific understanding / qualification

• Have a very good knowledge (or in depth knowledge and practical experience) of the relevant procedures, products and services in own areas of responsibility, including interpretation of and application of best practices, and able to immediately recognise a range of options when matching these to business/customer needs.

• Be degree educated,ACT, CFA, MBA or equivalent level of qualification will be viewed favourably

• Have CF30 approved person status
