   Summary of Responsibilities:

The candidate will be responsible for pricing, actuarial sales support and inforce product support for MetLife’s Stable Value BOLI business.  This position interfaces with the multiple internal disciplines including Sales, Sales Support, Legal, Tax and Underwriting and provides critical advice to bridge multiple disciplines, as well as external partners – CFOs, Treasurers, Legal Counsel and other financial professionals.

Principal Responsibilities: 

     1.  Responsible for sales and marketing support for all new private placement variable life
          (PPVL) product sales
     2.  Responsible for maintaining underwriting and financial risk controls standards
     3.  Responsible for actuarial services needed to support the inforce block including
          overseeing client requests or client initiated projects
     4.  Develop and maintain all assumptions used to price PPVL product
     5.  Refine and maintain all ROI models for PPVL product
     6.  Responsible for a staff of 1-2 associates

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Required: 

     •  At least 5 years of actuarial work experience
     •  FSA or ASA designation is beneficial but not mandatory
     •  Sound business judgment
     •  Strong verbal and technical written communication skills
     •  Strong negotiation and influencing skills
     •  Programming experience – proficient in Excel, Access and VBA
     •  Develops talent for the future
