Director / AD – Credit and Operational Risk recruitment

• Credit exp gained in rating agencies (assessing banks / broker ratings) is relevant

Primary Work Scope:

• Responsible for management of FI credit and counterparty credit risk arising from deposits, settlement, derivatives and custody. Responsible for all aspects of design and maintenance of credit risk framework and its implementation. Assignment of limits and reporting monitoring of positions.   Advice on credit risk exposures and structuring of transactions to mitigate credit risk – including in all major international markets. Working with legal team in contract structuring in ISDA or CSA negotiations. Monitoring of market conditions, and development of early alert system for country and financial system alerts.

• Responsible for the reputational and operational risk management framework. Responsibilities include development or review of SOPs and working with HR, Corporate Affairs, business functions and senior management to ensure reputational risks are managed. Working with operations and business functions to ensure operational risks are managed and control processes are adequate. Lead responsibility for several specific operational risk processes e.g. BCP, country alerts, etc

• Provide development and person growth for a small team of credit risk and operational risk professionals

Experience:

• Advanced degree in finance, economics, business administration or accounting. At least 10-15 years of relevant experience across both risk management and trading settlement back office functions in wholesale banks or institutional investors.

• Credit Risk (mandatory)

- Experience with oversight and maintenance of bank / broker / custodian counterparty credit risk management framework 

- Experience with credit analysis, credit risk assessment and credit risk management for bank counterparties, brokers and custodians;

- Familiar with ISDA, CSA, collateral management, credit risk measurement and credit risk mitigation for derivatives exposures;

- Experience with credit exposure reporting, and monitoring;

• Operational risk (preferred but not a must)

- Practical experience with management of operational risks arising in settlement and trading;

- Experience in development and implementation of an operational and reputational risk management framework;

• Proven leadership skills in developing and managing teams (required).

• Experience in Asia is preferred, but not a requirement.
