Director, Analytics recruitment

DebtX is seeking a Director in its rapidly expanding Analytics Department, responsible for providing loan valuation, risk rating and other consultative services to DebtX clients. As part of the Analytics team, the Director will be required to understand clients’ goals, define an appropriate set of deliverables, and manage production and quality control. The Director will interact with high profile clients as well as senior members of the DebtX team.

Responsibilities:
- Loan-by-loan valuations on a wide variety of loan portfolios comprised of myriad loan types and performance levels, and ranging in size from single loans to large-scale MA portfolios.
- Creation of loan portfolio valuation reports and stress tests, presenting findings in both numerical and written, narrative form.
- Overall client management including project design, delivery and follow-up.
- Pre-closing support for sales prospects.
- Interaction with DebtX traders to identify loan factors which may enhance models’ predictive capabilities.
- Work with DebtX software engineers to advance existing technologies that value and report prices on millions of loans.
Required Experience:
- Excellent writing skills.
- Significant experience analyzing commercial real estate debt and equity. Experience must include analyzing commercial real estate equity and debt positions, building financial models, performing due diligence and market research.
- Experience with other loan types, including CI, residential and/or consumer.
- Minimum 5-7 years of financial industry experience, preferably in credit analysis or risk management arena.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree strongly preferred.
- MAI and/or CFA designation required; bank credit training preferred.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion and desire to work in a dynamic investment setting and culture of learning.
