Director and Business Leader, Global Markets – Political Risk Consultancy recruitment

In this position, you will be responsible for managing the firm’s growth with financial services clients. You will work directly with our research management group to develop a business plan and a sales strategy that ensures company sales and profitability goals are met. You will participate in strategy development, annual budget processes and present to the firm’s executive and operating committees. 

You will demonstrate strong leadership and management skills and will lead the recruitment, training, mentoring and retention of a team of business development professionals in New York and London. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership capacity, management expertise and an entrepreneurial spirit.

You will be an experienced business development professional with a minimum of at least ten years’ experience (professionals with more experience are encouraged to apply) in the financial services industry preferably selling a macro research product.

You will have a proven track record of closing sales and developing large-scale relationships with major North American and European institutional investors. Candidates with specific experience with global macro hedge funds, emerging and frontier markets investors, private equity firms, commodity trading, or large mutual funds and traditional asset managers will have an advantage. You will also have the ability to manage existing relationships with a variety of top-tier clients and the ability to market macro and emerging markets products.  Existing industry client base and contacts strongly preferred. You will regularly coordinate and liaise with our Directors of Business Development, the Directors of Research, and a cadre of analysts to continually build out the firm’s presence. You will have excellent analytical and presentation (oral and written) skills.

You will have at a minimum an undergraduate degree; an MA or an MBA is preferred, but not required. Applicants are required to have a demonstrable interest in Eurasia Group’s core political risk assessment competency and fluency with international affairs.  All applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S.
