ABOUT THE GROUP
The Client Portfolio Management (CPM) Team's primary responsibility is to position TIAA-CREF in the marketplace as a highly competitive investment management firm in order to strengthen client and consultant relationships and support asset growth and retention. The team demonstrates TIAA-CREF's investment expertise through effective representation of our research and investment capabilities, as well as thought leadership delivered via ongoing verbal and written communications with internal/external clients, prospects, and consultants.
The successful candidate will be responsible for topical and product-related content development, including research, analysis, and commentary to support a variety of Asset Management business objectives. Specific responsibilities include writing about economic and market issues, compiling and analyzing data, positioning TIAA-CREF investment products and strategies, and providing editorial support for weekly and quarterly investment commentaries, client presentations, webinars, and thought leadership pieces. This role requires strong writing and communication skills, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with TIAA-CREF senior investment professionals and business partners.
- Conduct research and analysis as needed to develop presentations and written pieces. This could include market data, fund analysis, actuarial content, stock stories, thought leadership research, etc. Provide content and Asset Management positioning of timely economic and market issues.
- Develop content for CPM presentations and written pieces reflecting the views and strategies of Asset Management Equity, Fixed Income, Real Estate and Real Asset teams.
- Partner with Asset Management Marketing, Product Management, Compliance, Decision Support and other areas of the firm to foster the development and distribution of appropriate investment product related materials and updates.
- Produce weekly and quarterly economic and market commentaries/presentations for broad use by the CPM team to leverage across distribution channels in support of the sales and retention goals of Institutional Business Development.
- Examples include: responsibility for the Weekly CIO (and others) web commentary, collaboration on the Quarterly CIO (and others) Letter, Quarterly Fund and Annuity Commentaries, Economic and Market Commentaries, 5 P Documents.
- Incorporate input from CPM team and external sources to craft responses to client/consultant queries, RFP/RFI s, and ad hoc requests.
- Develop content for topical and one-off investment pieces, presentations, podcasts, webinars, etc. for presentation and distribution across various distribution channels.
Qualifications:
- Broad based knowledge of investment products across asset classes
- Bachelor's degree mandatory, MBA a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Broad based knowledge of investment products across asset classes
- Ability to understand and articulate financial concepts
- Familiarity with various distribution channels
