Description:
The primary functions of the role are to provide legal and regulatory guidance (both internally and with external regulators) with respect to certain key business expansion and regulatory compliance aspects of the CMEG business, particularly expansion of global access to CME Group trading platforms and other services (e.g., CME Direct and foreign access to Globex) in prioritized non-US jurisdictions as well as management of certain key regulatory processes, particularly the rule submission process as well as market maker and trading incentive programs. As such, this role will service internal and external stakeholders who have questions about acceptable practices, regulatory requirements, and other foreign access issues. The role will manage and coordinate applications for registered status in those jurisdictions, as well as oversee ongoing reporting obligations, to ensure company compliance with all foreign regulatory and legal requirements pertaining to the foregoing initiatives. Moreover, the role will manage and coordinate review, approval and submission of rule submissions and related procedures will provide guidance and training to relevant business stakeholders on the process as well as serve as the primary liaison with pertinent regulators and internal business stakeholders. In addition, the role will manage and coordinate the market maker and trading incentive program, including providing business stakeholders with structural advice as well as managing the process.
Required:
The position requires a juris doctor degree, bar membership in Illinois or New York, and 4-10 years minimum experience.
