Director, Assistant
Title: Director, Assistant Location: New York-New York Other Locations: This position is responsible for providing strategic thought leadership and office management support to the SVP office. The successful candidate will drive various business initiatives and critical deliverables across the full spectrum of digital projects. The Director Assistant will be a key member of the executive leadership team, and will work closely and set direction with the various manager/director assistants across AET and American Express. The candidate will also collaborate with critical functional partners (ex HR, Finance, AET, Compliance, World Services, and Vendor Management) across the Blue Box at all levels including senior leadership. In addition, the candidate will serve as trusted advisor and sounding board on transformational, broad-impact decisions and initiatives within AXPi. This role will also serve as the overall Business and Communication planner for AXPi. Incumbent will also the AXPi brand ambassador and will be responsible for AXPi's presence in all internal communication forums (email, intranet, etc) and support all strategic planning initiatives. · 5-10 years of experience building in-depth knowledge of AXPi Interactive, its PL, the channels it operates and the processes and procedures associated with those channels. · 5-10 years of experience building in-depth knowledge of 3rdparty advertising and revenue channels delivered through americanexpress.com. · 5-10 years of experience acquiring strong digital acumen across all channels and platforms (social, web, mobile, tablet, and email) · 5-10 years of experience in strategic planning and consulting · 5-10 years of experience in agile project development · 5-10 years of experience in managing and running HR processes, such as talent assessment, performance management, and development planning. · Strong thought leadership and broad/ strategic business expertise. · Ability to forge relationships across all band levels within business and technologies teams · Demonstrated excellence in building relationships and influencing without authority, across complex, highly matrixed environment · 5-10 years of experience developing knowledge of the American Express culture, organization, technologies, and financials · Excellent analysis and action-oriented decision-making skills · Extensive attention to detail · Demonstrated success in anticipating, and setting direction in ambiguous, unstructured, and unconventional situations · Extremely strong communication skills (written, oral, PowerPoint creation and delivery) · Ability to engage professionally and assertively with senior executives, to garner credibility and sponsorship · High degree of integrity and confidentiality - able to deal with sensitive information and data · Other duties as assigned · MBA required
