Director, AUTEC School

Purpose of the Classification: Responsible for day to day operations of the AUTEC School that ensure students learn including: ensuring curriculum and instruction meets or exceeds high quality standards, supervising staff members, building strong communication and relations with all stakeholders, maintaining school operations, and providing a safe, educational environment that meaningfully engages the students of the AUTEC School on the AUTEC project. Principal Responsibilities of the Classification: Performs many of the following responsibilities: Work to establish, achieve, and maintain accreditation standards. Select, evaluate, and supervise the school staff. Design and implement a systematic program for staff development. Partner with faculty and parents to promote academic success and to provide and environment conducive to learning. Represent the school through strong avenues of communication and collaboration with parents and community members. Promote fiscal integrity and accountability regarding school funding and expenditures. Prepare a wide variety of materials for the purpose of documenting activities and goal achievement in accordance with corporate and accreditation quality assurance guidelines. Discipline students as appropriate to maintain a positive developmental atmosphere. Provide skills and services necessary to fulfill the AUTEC School's long range planning, school improvements, and the allocation of resources to accomplish the school's mission. Work collaboratively with the School Board on matters related to the services provided by the school, including policy and budget recommendations, calendar development, and student discipline. Act as liaison between other school systems and agencies from which educational services may be obtained. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Basic Qualifications M.A / M.S. in Education or a related field from an accredited College or University. Ten (10) years of experience as a certified academic educator of which at least two (2) years must be as a school administrator. Current/valid Principal's Certification, and have attended fifteen (15) hours of leadership training as described by Southern Association of Colleges and Schools SACS. Valid Driver's License and Passport will be required. Must meet eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain the required government security clearance. Other Qualifications Excellent oral and written communication skills Must be able to reside in remote location with limited medical facilities.
