Director Business Development, Americas recruitment

The Director of Business Development, Americas’ role is focused on:

• Participating in the elaboration of the business development strategy for the region and its implementation

• Increasing the number of candidates registering for the CAIA exams

• Establishing and maintaining relationships with institutional clients,  managers, industry associations and financial institutions

• Evaluating enrollment potential among target firms and developing penetration objectives (long-range and per-cycle)

• Identifying and developing relationships with new target audiences and key accounts

• Working with Department heads, HR and internal education departments to encourage sponsorship and recognition of the CAIA program; promote approval of use of the CAIA charter (e.g., business cards, email signatures, public profiles) and promote the CAIA program internally (e.g., intranets, internal study groups)

• Where possible attending and supporting CAIA Chapter events

Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience in the alternative investment sector - in a business development or sales capacity to institutional clients and a proven record of success in this area

• Should be a CAIA charter holder or commit to earn the charter within two years

• Strong relationship management, communication and interpersonal skills

• Must be willing to travel extensively throughout the US and Canada

• CAIA’s head office is situated in Amherst, MA, but the position may be based in New York, Boston or Chicago (preferred)

• Must be prepared to attend meetings in Amherst, MA on a regular basis
