Job Summary

This position will be responsible for contributing to the top-line growth of Solix’s business, by managing every facet of Solix’s sales function.   On a daily basis, this role will be responsible for managing the sales process, Hunters, Farmers, and the active use of a Sales Force Automation tool.  While this is a management position, it is not a desk job; at Solix you must be willing and able to get involved in the pursuit of client opportunities.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Contribute to Solix’s top-line growth, by managing the acquisition of new engagements from both existing clients and new clients.  The majority of the time will be dedicated to managing “hunting” activities, with “farming” treated as secondary management need

·         Take responsibility for managing a Solix’ approach to selling value-added services, which includes leading by example when it comes to implementing solution-based sales. Develop and direct the execution of sales strategies, pricing, and proposals

·         Manage the performance of a small team (4-5 Resources) of Account Managers (Farmers) and Business Development Managers (Hunters) to meet and/or exceed sales targets

·         Lead and participate in all phases of the business development process by supporting activities for key accounts and/or where the sales staff is encountering barriers to progress.

·         Manage the involvement of Marketing, Operations, Finance, Legal, HR, and IT in the sales process at the appropriate times

·         Work closely with all parties to ensure budgets, schedules, and performance criteria are met throughout the sales process, as well as during the initial engagement, implementation, and during ongoing business operations

·         Administer a formal sales process that includes the monitoring of deal pipelines, and projections, through the use of a Sales Force Automation (SFA) tool, and report status on a weekly and monthly basis

Education or Experience:

Bachelor’s degree plus at least 10-years related experience. 10-years sales management and/or business development experience including experience at a business process outsourcing firm; 6-years of a proven track record of generating a high number of new accounts and consistently achieving sales targets and gross profit margin goals; 4-years experience managing a team of business development and/or sales staff; strong knowledge of BPO sales, including the ability to develop and execute sales plans, pricing and proposal development; in depth knowledge of the solution-selling process; ability to build an effective sales team; proven consultative selling skills with demonstrated sales forecast achievement; strong presentation, writing, speaking, project management, negotiation, and teamwork skills. Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license, a satisfactory driving record, automobile insurance, and a reliable vehicle.

Division of Time:

The candidate will spend 30% of their time traveling, and 70% of their time in the Solix office, with the following breakdown of activities:

·         40% managing the sales team

·         30% interacting with prospective Clients

·         20% managing the sales processes

·         10% administrative and reporting status

 

Minimum Requirements:

·        You must have experience selling Business Process Outsourcing services (Hardware-led and Software-led sales experience does not apply)

·         You must have an active knowledge of U.S.-based Telecommunications Companies, and/or Utilities Companies

·         You must have proven success managing a sales team comprised of both Hunters and Farmers

·         You will be required to pass a drug-test
