Director Business Development recruitment
Our client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Director Business Development focused on EMEA Corporates to plan, lead and execute the High Yield/Leveraged Finance advisor marketing strategy in London, together with overseeing High Yield/Leveraged Finance outreach activities to advisors in Western Europe.
Based within the Business Relationship Management group in London and reporting to the Head of Business Relationship Management for Corporates in EMEA, the Relationship Manager will provide tactical marketing and business development support to an assigned product group.
• The individual will work closely with the Leveraged Finance analytical team in London to prioritise and execute on outreach activities.
• The candidate will also liaise frequently with BRM colleagues in London, New York and around the EMEA office network to coordinate market interaction.
• From the outset the individual will enjoy a significant degree of autonomy and responsibility.
• The role may involve some European based travel
This role requires:
• A detailed understanding of the debt capital markets and experience of the High Yield and Leveraged Finance marketplace, ideally gained from an origination or advisory role.
• An understanding of corporate credit analysis would be an advantage.
• The candidate must have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate at a senior level. Strong marketing and interpersonal skills are a pre-requisite with a successful track record of developing commercial relationship and opportunities.
• Highly developed communication and presentation skills and a proven track record of ability in effective negotiation.
• Able to work independently within a strategic framework whilst maintaining high work standards and showing excellent attention to detail.
• Team oriented, with ability to effectively build relationships both externally and internally.
