Our New York City office has an exciting opportunity available in Human Resources for a Director of Compensation.
II. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSABILITIES:
The chosen incumbent shall be responsible for but not limited to the design and implementation of compensation programs including: base pay structures, short-term incentive programs, and equity; building and continually enhancing compensation strategies to align with the business and organization strategy and operating plans to ensure the right mix and offerings to attract, retain, and motivate a high quality workforce and leadership talent; being the internal consultant and expert for total compensation best practices, industry trends, legislative regulations, compliance issues, and market competitiveness; leading the research of complex tax, compensation, stock option and executive compensation matters; conducting analysis of jobs, salaries, and incentives in order to evaluate internal equity, external competitiveness, and legal compliance of the organization's pay practices; leading the review of compensation market data and development of market reference ranges, including report development, analysis of market data, movement recommendation and costing for the US and additional countries as necessary; partnering with HR Strategic Business Partners to deliver innovative solutions that are the highest quality and deliver outcomes that meet the business needs in addition to being in alignment with our philosophy; creating and conducting ongoing reviews of compensation expense and projections; managing system development enhancements and implementations; ensuring that HR, manager, and employee needs are met in the development of projects and managing a team of direct and indirectly reporting employees.
III. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor's degree required with a Master's degree and CCP preferred. A minimum of 10 years of relevant compensation experience at progressively responsible levels with at least 5 years management experience. Expertise in the design, development, implementation, and administration of various types of compensation programs including base, variable pay, executive compensation, short and long-term incentives, equity/stock. Excellent working knowledge and experience and ability to advise and influence in the design, implementation and administration of best practice market pricing techniques including in-depth awareness of legal and regulatory factors including FLSA and global trends impacting all facets of compensation. Thorough understanding of international, federal, and state compensation laws, government compliance, accounting/finance, tax and regulatory issues. An excellent analyst who can analyze, synthesize and draw conclusions from data quickly and accurately, Advanced level technical skills with Excel and SAP or equivalent HRIS system. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Must have high level of strategic agility, excellent decision making and problem solving skills, and demonstrated abilities to manage through systems and drive innovation. Ability to manage/prioritize multiple projects from conception to completion, working in a fast-paced environment.
