Description
Summary:
Leader in risk management interacting with risk stakeholders and all levels of the organization and Senior Management. Responsible for setting the strategic direction for a team of risk, process and project professionals; developing and managing the risk framework and governance across the Global Finance organization; partnering with key business and functional areas; and, executing on critical risk management projects and compliance activities, usually on tight deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Provide risk management consultation and partnership with business/functional areas to
o Ensure application of sustainable and repeatable processes and procedures to facilitate compliance with laws and regulations;
o Conduct risk assessments;
o Develop mitigation plans;
o Manage operational losses;
o Compliance and business continuity management; and,
o Other risk management and control activities
- Implement and monitor the process of measuring and assessing risk across Global Finance and developing strategies to mitigate/manage identified risks
- Assist in the design, testing and implementation of technology projects that will enable the mitigation and ongoing management of identified risks
- Oversee and manage key risk management projects
- Develop and deliver senior level risk management reporting and communications
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures
- Audit and exam management
- Liaise with internal and external auditing, regulatory and compliance functions to coordinate reviews, documentation and issue tracking
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor-s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or Compliance
- 3+ years experience in Risk Management
- 3+ years people management experience
- 3+ years project and process management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters Degree and/or JD
- 5 years in Risk and/or Compliance Management
- 5 years in Banking or Financial Services Industry
- 5 years people management experience
- 5 years project and process management experience
- CRCM (Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager) or comparable risk certification
- Highly effective communicator at all levels
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a matrix environment
