Government
We have the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. AECOM Government Services supports the U.S. federal government with worldwide program management, planning, design, operations and maintenance, logistics, aviation services, security, international development, environmental and civil engineering and mission and intelligence support.
Director of Construction/Engineering supports a US Government (USG) Contract that will manage construction contracts in various overseas locations. This is a senior position that will manage projects totaling in excess of $100 Million and will report directly to the AECOM BTRIC Program Manager. Is a experienced professional with a strong background in US Government construction (CONUS/OCONUS) who can interface directly with the customer and sub-contractors. Understands the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR) and AIA document. The candidate will be expected to:

- Review specifications and drawings for completeness prior to submission to the USG.
- Respond and coordinate Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Assist the USG in Statement of Work development in a collaborative environment.
- Review modification requests and pricing for price reasonableness
- Mentor various overseas contractors that may have limited/no experience with USG contracts.
- Establish and process pay estimates under the AGS Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
- Seek to resolve design and construction issues on very technically challenging facilities.
- Review and approve construction schedules.
- Build and maintain an overseas based construction management team.

Required Qualifications are:
- 15 years or more experience with USG Construction Contracts.
- 10 years of Program/Project Management experience.
- Experience in constructing laboratories, hospitals, or other technical facilities.
- Overseas construction experience.
- Willingness to travel overseas frequently (approximately 33% of the time).
- Familiarity with standard construction management tools such as MS Project and AutoCAD.
- US Citizenship (Security Clearance not required).
- Demonstrated ability to manage large construction projects.
- Professional Engineer certification

Qualifications include:

- PMP certification attainable within one year of hire.
- Experience in construction of technical projects such as biological laboratories.
- DOD or DTRA experience.

- Ability to deploy on short notice for extended periods of time.
