Position Overview:

You will be responsible for various corporate development initiatives including acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic alliances supporting Welch Allyn strategic growth objectives, reporting to the Vice President Corporate Development Strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

You will monitor market developments in categories of interest to Welch Allyn, as well as with competitors and/or potential partners to identify possible acquisitions, partnerships or divestitures. Your involvement in sourcing, evaluating, negotiating and integrating mergers and acquisitions will have global scope.

Taking a lead role in advancing Welch Allyn's overall corporate development objectives and process, you will perform business case development including valuation and analytical models to enable accurate financial evaluation of potential opportunities.

Leading cross-functional teams in complex due diligence and identification, you will identify and assess deal breaker issues, organize and manage integration planning, negotiate and resolve issues necessary to close the transaction

Creating and executing acquisition project plans and schedules, and revising as appropriate, to meet changing needs/requirements, you will be estimating and identifying resources needed, facilitating assignment of individual responsibilities, and managing day-to-day operational aspects of projects.

Effectively communicating relevant information to a variety of internal and external audiences, you will identify critical activities and manage team focus during various stages of the M A process.

You will also prepare briefing documents for the Executive Team and the Board of Directors necessary for Executive Team and Board approval,

By keeping track of and sharing lessons learned, you will help to improve M A process guidelines, decision criteria checklists, and due diligence templates, as well as mitigate any team conflict or communication issues.

Required Background:

Prior MA transaction experience, including demonstrated successful leadership of complex domestic international MA transactions is required,

Understanding of business, strategy and strong financial analysis and modeling skills, with understanding of financial accounting, income statements, balance sheets, etc. is essential.

An ability to analyze and synthesize information accurately and effectively, multi-task and dynamically decide the key priorities, along with strong analytic and organization skills, attention to detail, superior problem solving skills is essential.

Being an effective communicator of difficult or sensitive information is a pre requisite, with solid Program Management skills. Technical background a plus. Medical Device Industry experience along with an undergraduate degree in Science or Engineering and a MBA preferred.
