Director-Corporate M&A and Strategy
Your core responsibilities will be but not limited to:
- Supporting executive decision making on strategic matters with detailed financials and analytics, preparation of memos and presentations for the Group Executive Committee and Management Board
- Acting as principal on corporate MA transactions through leading the execution/project management of acquisitions and disposals, including valuation/financial impact, contract negotiations, transaction structuring, due diligence, and obtaining all relevant internal and external approvals
- Supporting change management projects through taking ownership for specific parts of the integration process, managing multiple stakeholders interests
- Leading a team of associates and analysts within the group.
The main requirements are:
- Good Bachelors degree or higher tertiary qualifications
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience. You could have worked previously in the FIG team of a corporate finance team or MA team; or the internal corporate development team of a financial institution in Asia; experience in FIG in a private equity set up.
- Relevant deal experience in financial services including strategic fit assessment, putting together / reviewing offers, due diligence, valuation/ financial impact, structuring, negotiations and pre/ post completion tasks.
- You should also have experience analyzing, developing and presenting strategic investment deals to internal investment committees.
- Sound intellect, the ability to deal with complex and ambiguous situations and challenge relevant content from others
- The ability to develop action plans and oversee the management of large internal and external execution teams
- Strong communications skills
- Good interpersonal skills and a strong team player
