The London branch of Wells Fargo, based in Fenchurch Street, has approximately 300 Team Members.

The Wells Fargo institutional sales desk in Europe is responsible for distribution of corporate bonds, credit derivatives and other debt products.

• Responsibilities

The primary areas of responsibility for the role are as follows:

• Distribution of high grade fixed income (cash, CDS, private placements, and preferred stock) into European clients.

• Dissemination of all relevant Wells Fargo SIG information regarding trading flows, trade proposals, pricing levels, corporate research recommendations and relevant new issue dynamics.

• Daily communication with traders to keep them abreast of the relevant issues relating to the specific customer base.

• Work effectively with other Wells Fargo Fixed Income specialists in coordinating overall client relationships within the bank.

• Coordination and participation in client presentations and conferences as well as initiate direct ongoing dialogue between the customer base and traders, research and DCM/syndicate.

• Providing KYC updates.

• Managing the documentation approval processes.

• Liaising with legal and our documentation teams.

• Travel to customers is required.

Requirements

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• Proven track record of investment grade sales and/or trading experience in corporate bonds, credit derivatives, and other debt products.

• Preferably degree educated in Finance or Marketing.

• Currently registered with the Financial Services Authority as an Investment Advisor (CF30).

• Extremely strong interpersonal and credit skills.

• Intimate understanding of asset/liability management.

• Advanced understanding of fixed income concepts and nomenclature, as well as a strong grasp of high grade relative value judgment also required.

• Track record of client development and retention.

• Ability to demonstrate the building and maintaining of client relationships

• Highly proficient on Excel and Bloomberg.

• Candidate must be able to provide an extensive list of references from institutional buy side accounts.

• Fluent in at least one other language such as French/German/Spanish or Italian would be a significant advantage.
