Director, Debt Advisory
Numbers Executive is currently sourcing a senior Investment or Institutional Banking professional to join the Debt Advisory team of a global brand here in Melbourne. We seek applicants with experience undertaking corporate finance, project finance and MA mandates within the infrastructure or utilities sectors, likely gained in a project financing, investment banking or Public Private Partnership Advisory capacity.
As a Director within the team, your primary mandate will be to further develop the team’s capabilities and track record with leading infrastructure funds, infrastructure assets and Greenfields infrastructure projects. Utilising your extensive network and track record, you will be responsible for originating and project managing the execution of independent debt advisory mandates, providing valuable strategic insights with respect to restructuring and refinancing of debt facilities, debt raisings, the review of lending relationships, debt structure reviews and the provision of advice with respect to capital management strategies. This is a leadership role; part of your remit will be to cultivate, develop and set expectations with junior members of the team.
The ideal applicant will have experience working across the debt and MA spectrums, likely in a corporate (or DCM) team and a coverage or MA team within a global investment bank. With a strong personal brand within the Australian infrastructure marketplace, you will be well placed to develop external client relationships in your new role and have practical experience providing advice in relation to debt structuring, capital management, document negotiation and other strategic advice. With a flair for leadership and experience managing teams you will be a positive influence on the team’s culture. It is likely that you have an academic background in finance, commerce or engineering, preferably coupled with a post-graduate qualification such as the CA, CFA, Masters of Finance or FINSIA.
