Director, Device Operations Job in Lake Forest, Illinois US
Provide leadership in the design and execution of business processes to drive continuous improvement in product and process quality, cost reduction and operational productivity throughout Hospira's device manufacturing organization. Drive standardization across all device manufacturing facilities.
-Provide support to the development of device manufacturing strategy
-Support the development of annual and long range financial plans and LBE's
-Develop, prioritize and drive implementation of major initiatives that result in continuously improving manufacturing, quality, customer service, cost and safety performance.
-Develop and track metrics to drive improved performance
-In conjunction with Commercial and RD organizations, control product line changes to assure both Commercial market and Manufacturing need are met.
-Evaluate and implement optimal manufacturing strategy utilizing Hospira manufacturing resources, 3rd party and vendor relationships.
-Continuously monitor manufacturing footprint and propose and implement changes to optimize, service, quality and cost.
-Develop talent in manufacturing facilities to assure appropriate depth of talent to meet current and future needs.
-Serve as a central point of communication to assure standardization and integration with all Hospira functions on device issues.
-Anticipate market and technology changes related to device manufacturing and implement timely solutions.
Bachelor's degree required
Master's degree preferred
10+ years of experience in Operations and Manufacturing Management.This position requires a Bachelors Degree, ideally in a technical field. Additional training or experience in process improvement (LEAN, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.) is required to support continuous improvement objectives.
