Director, ECM Origination recruitment
The successful candidate will take on a leading role managing the establishment of both capital raising and non-capital raising activities via Depositary Receipts, as well as providing clients with advice on ongoing complex matters. You will also work closely with the sales team to develop bids for new mandates, often attending pitches or responding to specific concerns of prospective issuers.
Role outline
Responsible for increasing and seeing through to deal closure a growing pipeline, ideally with particular emphasis on Russia and Central and Eastern Europe (you will also be assigned work on a more global basis)
Actively take on advisory work and work closely with the product management team and advise on complex issues as and when
Responsible for the life cycle coverage of transactions, gaining a working knowledge of regulatory filings through to settlement issues in a number of markets in addition to structuring and managing the transactions.
Skills
Be legally qualified with international capital markets experience, preferably with a major US law firm and/or in-house transaction banking background. Or have relevant transactional experience in a similar role.
Demonstrable background in equity or debt capital markets.
Track record closing mandates in a similar or related business area.
Be able to turn documents and other work around in a timely manner satisfactory for far-reaching time zones around the world.
Proven attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with particular strength in negotiation.
Able to travel up to one week per month, as necessary.
