Job Description The Director responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the development, implementation, administration, performance assessment and ongoing maintenance of special projects or initiatives designed to improve business results and operational execution / efficiencies. The Director is also responsible for completion of sales / business analysis. Accountable to assist with the identification, establishment and implementation of consistent standards and programs in support of the business mission and priorities. Responsible for the management of department wide initiatives and operational issues. Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements ? Develops and implements quality business / strategic plans to maximize sales, customer satisfaction and PL potentials in all Outlet Stores. ? Ensures quality and consistent execution of all operational standards / processes within all Outlet Stores ? Understands the financial literacy of the Outlet Store business (Monthly Operating Review, PL, PeopleSoft, etc.) and applies all appropriate levers available to maximize potentials and minimize liabilities. ? Maintains ongoing / high level customer focus (field leadership team, store teams and end-user customers) frequently meeting with RCs, DSOCs, Store Coaches and front-line customers. ? Utilizes / enhances relationship building skills to ensure quality communication between Stores, Sears Field and the Support Center team ? Builds knowledge in merchandise presentation standards, operational execution, and general management leadership competencies (talent management, performance management, effective communication skills, building a high performance team) ? Proactively identifies opportunities to develop and improve action plans based on regular analysis of business performance, store competitor visits and through input from Region Coaches, District Sales Ops Coaches and store teams. ? Plays active role in the development and implementation of short and long-term business strategies (Field and Support Center). ? Leads development of special projects to improve sales, profit and operational execution for the Outlet Store Organization (Field / Corporate). ? Leads change in a highly transitional business format that includes regular introductions of new businesses, growth initiatives, turn-around business opportunities and the integration of these businesses. ? Investigates all issues/situations which need resolution, identifies the source of these opportunities,takes action to correct the core problem and communicate the solution ? Determines IT and system needs for current business model and growth initiatives ? Researches and investigates current programs, policies and procedures for opportunities of improvement for format, system changes, upgrades and requirements ? Manages vendor relationships that support operational processes ? Strong sense of urgency, ownership and accountability. ? Strong problem solving / analytical skills coupled with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Must have proven track record of success in helping to analyze and solve significant business problems. ? Coaching/developing highly effective relationship building skills. Must possess the ability to drive results and influence people / change through the effective use of communication, negotiation and persuasion skills. ? Computer and software program proficiency required Years Experience 5 - 10 Years Experience Preferred Minimum Education Bachelors Level Degree Travel Requirements On Occasion (Less than 5%)
