Director Employee Assistance Programs
Job Summary: Leads all Employee Assistance Program (EAP) initiatives and personnel who provide assessment, treatment referral, treatment plan design, and return to work recommendations for employees experiencing substance abuse, critical incidents, mental health issues, or exhibiting violence in the workplace per clinical protocol and applicable federal regulations. Primary Activities and Responsibilities: Supervise staff providing assessment, treatment referral, treatment plan design, and return to work recommendations for employees experiencing substance abuse and mental health issues. Consult with supervision to improve work performance of individual employees. Train employees in mental health and substance abuse topics per company policy and federal regulations. Serve as Designated Employer Representative (DER) for Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) drug testing program. Provide on-site counseling and crisis response to employees and their families in the event of a train accident, death, or serious injury. Collaborate with various union officials and other labor organizations. Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager.
