We are currently seeking talented Director Enterprise Risk Analytics for our San Antonio, TX facility.

PURPOSE OF JOB
Lead implementation of an enterprise-wide Model Validation program, functioning within an Enterprise Risk Analytics team in the Chief Risk Office. Supervise analysts who produce Validation Reports for models used across a wide range of financial service businesses including insurance and investment services.

JOB DUTIES

·                                 Oversee the enterprise Model Validation program and manage its implementation.

·                                 Build and manage a high performing team of analysts who implement the enterprise portion of the Model Validation program. Recruit, train, coach, manage performance, and supervise work.

·                                 Manage the schedule of the validation activity of the internal team.

·                                 Communicate validation results to model owners.

·                                 Analyze provided documentation for adherence to the Enterprise Standards for Model Documentation.

·                                 Prepare materials for meetings of an Enterprise Model Risk Management Committee, Oversee the management of Validation Report components of the Enterprise Model Inventory.

·                                 Effectively articulate methods, results, and insights to senior leadership.

Minimum Requirements

·                                 Master's degree (or equivalent work experience) and 6+ years work experience in a quantitative discipline relevant to financial risk management OR Doctorate degree and 4+ years work experience in a quantitative discipline relevant to financial risk management.

·                                 Strong knowledge of financial services businesses such as insurance, investment management or banking.

Preferred

·                                 Experience leading a model validation function at a major financial institution.

·                                 Masters or PhD degree in Economics with an econometric emphasis or in Statistics.

·                                 Experience developing statistical models at an insurance, bank, or investment company.
