Summary of Responsibilities: Manages the implementation and administration of compensation programs and policies in support of Western Southern Agency distribution channels. Ensures that the compensation programs are competitive, equitable and economically sound. Assists various departments with technical requests involving systems, data, statistics and analyses. Interacts with all levels of associates throughout the Financial Group, as well as other companies and industry organizations relating to field compensation. Works with minimal supervision and is responsible to make an established range of decisions, escalates to manager when necessary and updates manager on a regular basis. Position Responsibilities: -Partners with Agency senior management in the managing, reviewing, implementing and administering of compensation programs and policies that meet the needs of the Agency organization while maintaining internal equity, external competitiveness and economic soundness. -Benchmarks competition to assess the effectiveness of current compensation programs for the field sales force, and evaluates future compensation requirements for other distribution channels. -Recruits, hires, trains and develops staff. Provides direction to and development of associates through daily coaching the administration of the Performance Management Program and the creation and implementation of development plans. -Stays current on trends in our business, networking and being aware of our competitors strategies and major operational initiatives. -Works with Vice President to develop and execute strategic initiatives in the operation that give a competitive edge. -Performs other duties as assigned by management.
