Director, Financial Planning Job in Purchase 10577, New York US

Position Summary:  Responsible for all budgeting and forecasting activities for Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings.

Major Job Accountabilities:

§  Coordinate the completion and submission of all short-term and long-range forecasting

§  Coordinate the planning, completion, and submission of the annual budgeting

§  Understand and project the effects of changes to volume, pricing, cost reductions, etc. through financial analysis

§  Analyze and report on variances to Plan and forecast and recommends forecasting adjustments accordingly

§  Analyze and report on Segment and customer profitability

§  Prepare monthly financial presentations for senior management and the Board of Directors

§  Generate monthly Accounting Close package

§  Support quarterly SEC filing and auditing activities

§  Establish and maintain SOX controls for FPA related activities

§  Maintain and administer Company’s Clarity Enterprise Financial Planning system

§  Administer the Company’s CapEx policy and ensure adequate returns are generated on spending

§  Partner with Treasury to generate cash forecasts

§  Provide financial support for all government contracting and auditing activities

§  Ensure integrity of operational statistic reporting

§  Manage team of three Sr. Financial Analysts / Managers

§  Responsible for meeting all deadlines related to the FPA team’s areas of responsibilities and assisting the senior management in meeting Company deadlines. This area includes responsibility for special projects and ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

 

Qualifications: 

§  7-10 years experience preferred

§  MBA (concentration in finance preferred) or equivalent experience

§  Demonstrated ability to run all aspects of the annual budgeting process

§  Extensive experience with forecasting and variance analysis

§  Demonstrated ability in analysis including comparative ROI, cost-benefit, valuation, basic statistical models, and cost accounting.

§  Extensive experience with Excel; advanced knowledge of formulas and modeling

§  Experience with discounted cash flow analysis

§  Ability to model business case scenarios to support optimal decision making

§  Must be highly quantitative, analytical, and detail oriented

§  Must be a highly organized individual with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.

§  Must be willing to complete a variety of ad hoc projects, prioritizing responsibilities in a dynamic and fluid environment with tight deadlines

§  Must work well in a team environment, interacting with multiple functions to gather and synthesize information

§  Must be professional, mature and able to effectively and confidently communicate with senior levels of management and with external parties.

§  Must have a high degree of self-motivation and the ability to work with limited supervision

§  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the company

§  Flexibility to work additional hours and travel as required.
