Director, Financial Services Operations Transformation, Advisory, Sydney
Our Financial Services Operations Transformation practice is a strategic priority for our Advisory practice. This practice is growing rapidly and we are hoping to find a seasoned commercial Financial Services Performance Improvement leader to help our clients shape, orchestrate and deliver complex transformational change programmes.
As a Director in the practice you will work with many of the world's leading banks, wealth managers, superannuation funds, and non-banking financial institutions through their most pressing issues. Whether we are helping clients to improve the customer experience, increase productivity, reduce cost, create scalability for growth or respond to regulatory change, we need people with strong Operations experience to help us drive tangible results with our clients.
Your background may be in Transformation / Management Consulting, a line Operations role with a significant Strategic / Transformation focus, and / or Continuous Improvement. You will bring a track record of significant achievement, and the interpersonal skills to partner with clients, as well as the leadership skills to lead large teams.
Within EY you will help our clients identify their most pressing opportunities and issues, and shape solutions to help 'build a better working world' You will manage large engagements, working unsupervised and overseeing teams, servicing on multiple client engagement teams. You will gain an understanding of their business drivers, indentifying key issues and risks, overseeing the delivery of valuable insights and factual conclusions around each engagement. As a senior leader within our firm you will also provide the mentoring, stewardship and coaching to our people to help them grown their skills and careers.
In order to be successful in this role you must:
- Have a clear track record in driving tangible improvements to sales, retention, productivity, change management, cost and operational scalability in Financial Services through target operating model design and implementation.
- Bring strong knowledge of the Financial Services industry including operational domains such as Banking Operations, Superannuation Administration, Mortgage Processing, Trading, Payments Processing and Collections. You will have led operational improvement teams, driving positive and profitable growth.
- Bring a strong network in the local Australian Financial Services industry, ideally supported with exposure to leading practices elsewhere in the Globe (for instance the US, Europe, and UK).
- Ideally have an existing experience in a consulting role within a financial services organisation or within a top tier professional services firm. We would like to find someone with experience in retail banking, investment banking and/or capital markets.
