Responsibilities
Columbia Management, an Ameriprise Financial company, is seeking a Director, Fixed Income Product Management to be based in its Boston, MA office.

* Act as primary liaison between Fixed Income portfolio managers and clients. Represent the team as a public spokesperson in internal and external institutional and retail meetings discussing their process, philosophy, positioning, and performance attribution.
* Develop strong working relationships with members of the core and core plus investment teams with active participation in team meetings to gain an in-depth understanding of current team thinking and to provide the team with ongoing market intelligence.
* Develop and execute a sales strategy in partnership with Marketing, Sales and Investment Management aimed at aggressively growing and retaining assets under management.
* Ensure product positioning and messaging is consistent across all communication mediums, working with Legal and Marketing partners.
* Business leader for large scale projects and initiatives as needed.
* Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time.

Required Qualifications

* Education: Bachelor-s degree or greater.
* Experience: 5+ years related asset management industry experience.
* NASD Series 6 and 7 or ability to obtain within 120 days.
* Thorough knowledge of the fixed income markets.
* Strong leadership, influential communication and presentation skills. Comfortable with large audience conference calls and in-person meetings.

Preferred Qualifications

* Industry Certification: Pursuit or Completion of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
