Reporting to the Business Development Strategy Director the Director - Strategic Relationships is responsible for defining and implementing our strategy moving forward for strategic partnerships. This will include sourcing, maintaining and deepening relationships with partners in key markets. Strategic partners aid our distribution network, endorse our credibility and brand in markets of choice, in addition to increasing our internal knowledge of key sectors.
Correct alignment of this strategy will ensure that the projected new to bank customers, full banking relationships and income objectives are delivered as well as ensuring our knowledge and capability in chosen markets is best in class.

As a Director for Strategic Relationships your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
* Proven track record of relevant commercial experience.
* Preferably ACIB qualified
* An in depth knowledge and understanding of the Bank's business environment, a strategic view of performance and commercial outlook are fundamental to the role
* Detailed knowledge of UK Corporate Commercial Bank's organisation, products, services, systems and operations
* Strong organisational and planning skills with effective prioritisation of deadlines
* Willing and able to push change, demonstrating drive in continuously seeking ways to improve on existing processes and add value to the business
* Ability to work under pressure with excellent time management skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop working relationships at senior levels
* Fully proficient with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, and Excel
As a Director for Strategic Relationships your main responsibilities will involve:
* Managing all key on-going relationships with detailed contact strategy for each - validating investment cases. Current examples would include EEF, BHA, EIA, EIB, ICAEW, RMI etc.
* Sourcing new partners for emerging markets eg Agriculture / Franchises. Use robust analysis and negotiation skills to ensure we are with correct partners.
* Working with marketing department to ensure alignment of budgets and activities in line with key partnerships
* Proactively managing, and promoting business introductions on a value basis from our strategic partners
* Ensuring that local Relationship teams via BD Directors have a good understanding of our strategic partnerships and network communication is robust ensuring local relationships exist
* Delivering and driving the 'affinities' strategy and proposition in sub £1m marketplace - general offering
* Creating and developing bespoke offerings for partner groups where members predominantly in the corporate space
Salary: up to £ 66,600 + £6,000 car allowance and excellent benefits
