Director – Forensic Accounting & Advisory Services recruitment
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Directors in the forensic accounting sector are responsible for planning, supervising, performing and wrapping-up engagements, with responsibility for day to day activities.
- Typical engagements consist of litigation support regarding white collar crime, securities litigation, FCPA, or commercial litigation matters; SEC and PCAOB investigations; fraud and other forensic accounting investigations; and GAAP and GAAS expert witness testimony services for a variety of law firms and corporate clients.
- Engagements also include proactive compliance and internal control assessments and implementation, and financial statement restatements.
- Directors interact directly with clients – attorneys and senior accounting personnel.
- Utilize advanced accounting knowledge and logical reasoning skills to provide complete client services.
- Work to ensure a quality product, as well as deliver all work within established timeframes.
- Prepare draft expert reports and other reports to third parties, as necessary, on the project scope, findings and/or results of activities.
- Prepare effective PowerPoint presentations and quantitative exhibits for third parties on project scope and findings.
- Maintain professional image within the firm and project the same to those outside the firm.
- Track progress of cases and monitor workflow of different matters.
- Coordinate and review the work of others and ensure the timely completion of engagements.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A degree holder with an accounting background and a professional accounting qualification.
- Substantial experience (a minimum of 5-6 years) in financial/fraud investigations, strong attention to detail and ability to handle and analyse complex financial information.
- Exposure to Anti bribery / Anti corruption ("ABAC") investigations / risk assessments / remediations / compliance/
- Experience in conducting internal investigations.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong report writing and project management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and ability to read and speak Mandarin.
- Supervisory responsibility for teams, coaching, managing and training junior staff.
- A team player with an investigative mindset.
- Traveling is required.
