Position Summary:
This position will be responsible for marketing product management, strategic marketing, channel marketing, marketing communications, and business development for the Water Analysis Instruments Business globally. Overall responsibilities include product life cycle management, new product introduction, geographic growth (localization / segmentation) and pricing strategy. The Marketing Director will also have responsibility for strategic planning and developing the inorganic growth strategy (partnerships, licensing, MA). To be successful, this leader must have the ability to work and influence across functions and within an international matrix organization. Key performance metrics include bookings / revenue growth, new product vitality, price realization and in-organic pipeline targets.
Essential Job Functions
• Provide leadership, coaching and direction to marketing reports and functional team members (domestic and international) to ensure alignment of strategies, plans and tactics.
• Manage the global marketing budget and meet annual revenue / margin targets for all product lines.
• Develop a marketing communications department that leverages internal and external capabilities to increase market awareness through traditional media and web-based platforms.
• Champion the New Product Introduction Hopper. Work with RD Director to build the New Product Pipeline based on robust VOC and strong customer, market and competitor analysis.
• Lead the business unit’s annual strategic planning process with a strong external focus on customers, competitors, geographies and market adjacencies.
• Provide in-depth interpretation of global industry trends, customer requirements and business objectives.
• Provide competitive insight and tracking of competitive activity. Develop and implement strategies and counter-strategies to gain market share.
• Develop and implement global pricing strategy. Meet annual pricing objectives.
• Coordinate global forecasting and marketing input into SOP and SKU rationalization processes.
• Drive new sources of growth by identifying, analyzing and bringing forward opportunities to partner, license or acquire companies or technologies. Responsible for developing and building an inorganic growth hopper.

• Proven competencies in marketing management, new product introduction and strategic marketing disciplines. Examples include: Product life cycle management, customer requirements development (VOC), segmentation, localization, stage gate process, etc.
• Balance of financial and practical business acumen. Ability to evaluate business plans and investment proposals to understand commercial and operational implications
• High energy level and drive. Demonstrated ability to execute and deliver on commitments.
• Demonstrated leadership skills. Ability to work effectively in a global, multinational “matrix” organization
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, particularly within cross-functional teams. Ability to influence people in multiple functions and at multiple levels in the organization
Educational and Experiential Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business administration required. MBA or advanced degree a plus.
• 10 years relevant marketing / sales experience preferred.
• Minimum of five years managerial experience leading a global marketing or sales team.
• Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to speak effectively to multiple levels of the organization and to people of different educational, cultural and work experience backgrounds.
• Past experience working in a global, matrix organization.
• Must be able to travel globally. Expected travel 30%.
• Must be able to comply with the citizenship requirements as determined by DHS and other government contracts
