Director – Global Networks Operations Head recruitment
Our client, a top tier Investment Bank is seeking an experienced IT Networks Operations Manager to oversee all operational support for the APAC based Control and Command Centre which covers APAC and EMEA regions.
This role would be leading a total of 70+ resources with around 6 direct reports. Candidates with strong operational infrastructure and people management experience with a high level over view of networking platforms and tools will be key. Pure network engineers and project managers need not apply.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight to the Global Network.
- Directly manages the following areas: Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, Project Management, and Change Control
- Develops, improves, implements and delivers superior network operations support to the banks Global network.
- Represent the Global Technology Organization for the APAC and EMEA regions
- Broad regional and global exposure to multiple network platforms and various network tool sets.
- Experience gained managing a large financial support budget.
- Exposure to network product development and leading edge technology.
- Position will have business contacts and work relationships across all of the banks subsidiaries
- Implement appropriate controls to eliminate risk and to ensure full compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley.
- Enforce zero tolerance on past dues audit deliverables and issues
- Executes strategic business plans and priorities.
- Delivers incremental network solutions/services to internal customers.
- Monitors/reviews multiple on-going business projects.
- Develops and maintains external relationships with the global team.
- Fosters innovation. Ensures our support services stay current/ahead of the market.
- Ensure the organization adheres to the information security standards and global compliance policies.
- Responsible for setting and communicating operations strategy globally.
- Responsible for leading the business requirements definition.
- Must establish key senior technology partnerships both regional and global.
- Provides the oversight of key major initiatives.
- Manages project deliverables and ensures short-term business deliverables are met.
Responsibilities
- 10+ years experience working with Wide Area and Local Area Networks
- In-depth Product or Operations knowledge with Cisco Products.
- Track record of working across large, complex, multiple business lines to deliver an integrated solution to clients across global/regional geography.
- Familiarity with compliance, Audit and Information Security policies
- Project management/execution and delivery experience.
- Experience in delivering results and meeting financial plans a must.
- Outstanding people leadership skills. Able to motivate/influence.
- Superior communication, problem analysis/solving and interpersonal skills.
- People Management skills and ability to lead and motivate teams.
