We currently have an opportunity for a Director, Government Affairs Public Policy (GAPP) to work in our corporate office in San Jose, CA.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for directing our corporate federal government affairs program, including identifying and managing federal legislative and regulatory issues, as well as representing Satellite Healthcare on issues of importance before the US Congress and related Administration agencies such as CMS, HHS, state Medicaid program agencies, etc. You will also identify and manage proposed federal legislation and regulations that present significant implications to our businesses and participate in the development of Satellite Healthcare policy positions and legislative strategies to enable the company to favorably influence and participate in the legislative and regulatory processes. Additionally, you'll be tasked with monitoring the federal legislative, policy and regulatory environment with the objective of building internal awareness of issues affecting our business and providing management with sophisticated information and options to deal with developments and identify opportunities to work with the government to advance our mission. Another facet of this position will be to establish and maintain positive working relationships with community organizations, business groups and government agencies and company leadership to help achieve GAPP objectives.

Successful candidates will have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and experience in government or private sector lobbying and advocacy to effectively advance our business interests in uncertain and changing government funded programs. You must have significant experience in community relations, communications, public relations or health policy, strong knowledge of government affairs and public policy, including policy analysis and lobbying, and excellent written, verbal communication, presentation, interpersonal, project management, organizational and consulting skills. Experience in community relations, a not-for-profit community health organization or public relations is preferred.
