Director, Head of Institutional Sales
The bank has grown to a stage where it requires a dedicated Head of Institutional Sales to actively promote, market and sell the bank’s products and services to institutional clients across the GCC. The bank is relatively new and hence is seeking a Head of Institutional Sales which has a proven track record and existing clients which it can bring to the bank. The bank will provide the necessary platform, products, services and support to the Head of Institutional Sales.
The role will involve:
- Actively marketing, promoting and selling the bank’s products and services to institutional clients across the GCC.
- Maintain and develop new relationships.
- Active traveling throughout the GCC.
- Providing the bank intelligence in terms of client’s requirements.
- Managing and handling client requests.
- Following up and managing the client’s expectations.
The Head of Institutional Sales should be able to demonstrate:
- An understanding of investment banking products and services, more specifically asset management products.
- Prior experience gained in the region with a reputable firm.
- Demonstrable track record.
- Proven relationships across the GCC. Relationships should be with key decision makers.
- The ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure commensurate with the trading environment.
- Willingness to travel.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (essential).
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a sales function within the regional Financial Services industry.
- Be a self-starter and pick up on existing relationships.
- Exposure to a wide array of investment banking and global market products and services with particular attention on Asset Management.
- In depth knowledge of institutional clients across the GCC region.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Be a team player with an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Ability to function effectively under tight deadlines and constraints.
- Exposure to Islamic finance is a bonus.
