Director, Health Sciences Center of Emphasis
This position identifies, develops, schedules, and sells an array of open enrollment and contract training programs to meet the continuing education needs of area healthcare professionals in support of the Center's mission and objectives.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Baccalaureate in health care or other related field required; Master's preferred.
Five years of experience in the health care industry required, preferably with training/teaching responsibilities.
Demonstrated knowledge and ability to sell/market, direct, and manage the Center programs to a geographically diverse client base.
Ability to apply business management principles, practices and techniques.
Ability to design professional development continuing education programs.
Capable of analyzing, identifying, and recommending program improvements.
Ability to leverage outside public and private sector resources.
Skilled in measuring and evaluating the impact of program delivery.
Essential Job Functions:
Maintain regular and routine contact with area healthcare organizations to identify, develop, staff, and schedule open enrollment and contract training healthcare classes.
Coordinate with Allied Health credit programs to offer continuing education classes based on specific professional development needs.
Attend/serve on/network with area healthcare professionals and organizations to promote Center offerings.
Monitor budgetary expenditures and revenues to assess progress toward annual financial and enrollment goals and recommend actions to remedy shortfalls, as appropriate.
Leverage public and private sector resources.
Maintain equipment inventory; supervise staff and adjunct faculty; teach as assigned.
Submit required reports and documents.
