Title: Director, Home Loans

Reporting Relationship: Joel Eckhause, VP Business Analysis, Home Equity MA

Location: Plano, TX

Capital One is seeking a senior level individual to build and lead a direct marketing analytics operation for the Home Equity LOB. This individual is expected to be a thoughtful leader and have an exceptional track record of analytical delivery as they will be responsible for driving a robust agenda. He/she will be instrumental in generating, leading, and implementing business strategy, as well as pricing, product, and marketing initiatives in order to drive profitability. This individual will help define Capital One-s strategies and initiatives for Mortgage, Representations, and Warranty activities. The broad scope of this role requires a proven track record of strong people management as the position will assume leadership over a 4 person team. He or she will report directly to Joel Eckhause, VP Business Analysis within the Home Equity line of business.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Drive step-change improvements in our ability to forecast losses through analyzing historical relationships and proving out hypotheses around drivers of future consumer credit trends
- Define and execute strategies for mortgage and home equity products that will drive growth, profitability and competitive success for Capital One-s Home Loans business
- Partner with the Sales teams to develop sales and marketing strategies across all distribution channels including leading direct marketing efforts to acquire new customers and deepen relationships with existing customers
- Prepare and present clear and compelling messaging all the way up to and including the Executive Committee level
- Influence Business and CRM decisions through insightful and persuasive analyses and recommendations
- Inform our deliverables and recommendations with the implications of competitor and external economic trends

The Person

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in quantitative field such as Engineering, Math, Finance, or Economics
- 3+ years of People Management experience
- 4+ years of quantitative analysis experience
- 2+ years of credit experience
- Masters or MBA degree
