Position Principle Responsibilities
The Director, Human Resources is responsible for the corporate Human Resource functions of this business unit including talent acquisition, compensation and benefits programs, policies and procedures, budgeting, and long range planning. Key responsibilities for this position include:
• Participates in the development of the long range human resources strategic planning process.
• Partners closely with various operational constituents to ensure the human resources team identifies business issues and provides timely and effective solutions.
• Oversees the development and communication of human resources policies and programs.
• Provides advice and guidance on the interpretation of human resources policies as they relate to individuals and company objectives.
• Liaison with corporate offices for company-wide programs and initiatives.
• Liaison with shared services center for HR systems administration and development.
• Prepares, secures approval for, and implements operating and expenditure budgets for department, and operates within those guidelines.
• Assists in the preparation of the Company-wide budget for salary administration and employee benefits.
• Conducts research on human resources trends and best practices and recommends new programs and policies that add value to the organization.
• Supports the human resource activities related to mergers and acquisitions.
• Partners closely with all human resources functions including talent development, safety, and risk management.
• Responsible for designing and implement cultural based initiatives to promote and maintain a culture of feedback, coaching, and accountability.
• Manages various vendor partnerships and relationships.
• Writes effective communications on company policies, procedures, and cultural based initiatives.
• Prepares and analyses internal trends and recommends changes or enhancements based on factual analyses.
• Protects the interests of the organization and the employees in accordance with company policies and appropriate governmental laws and regulations such as wage hour, ERISA, etc.
• Seeks out continuous improvement efforts for direct and indirect areas of responsibilities.
• Supervise and gives direction to a team of human resources professionals.
Position / Candidate Requirements
Education:
Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, or a related field. An advance degree is preferred.
Work Experience:
The successful candidate will need to have at least 10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources. 5 plus years experience managing projects in Human Resources, Talent Management, or other related areas. 5 plus years supervisory experience. Demonstrated success as an executive coach, consultant and advisor. Familiarity with affirmative action planning. Strong track record of managing a Human Resources function in a geographically dispersed, matrix organization.

• Requires self-management and project management ability
• Certification in Human Resources, talent management or organizational development
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Ability to travel
