We are seeking a dynamic Human Resources leader for a regional HR Management position based in Minneapolis, MN, supporting a five-state territory. In this strategic role, you will have responsibility for execution of Graybar’s HR strategies, policies, practices, and procedures to facilitate the attraction, development, and retention of an engaged and effective workforce.
The Opportunity
As a participating member of our District Management Team and a liaison to the District, you will be responsible for ensuring that the District is compliant with federal, state, and local regulations when implementing, counseling, educating, and directing management or employees in the application of HR policies. As Director, Human Resources, you will be responsible for facilitating, tracking, and directing the implementation of the Company’s recruitment, onboarding, employment, compensation, benefit, performance management, talent management, and training, to include guiding and leading management in forecasting, developing, and implementing an effective workforce plan. As a strategic director in this role, you may serve in various roles to support business initiatives, including but not limited to serving as a member of the District Steering Committee, Safety Council, Equal Employment Opportunity Coordinator, and District Training Coordinator.
The Requirements
A minimum of five years of experience in HR Management, preferably in a large organization managing multiple sites for a specific region. Bachelor’s degree and PHR/SPHR preferred. This strategic Director role requires a candidate with a vast knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of compensation and benefits programs. Knowledge of SAP is preferred! We are looking for someone with the ability to influence multiple levels skills within the company through strong communication and to establish credibility as the leader of the District’s Human Resource function. The candidate for this role will have a knowledge and understanding of workforce development programs and strategies, coupled with strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
