Director, ICD-10 Services
As a Director of ICD-10 Services, you will have the opportunity to influence the strategic direction of a private equity backed leader in the healthcare industry, Altegra Health. This position can be based anywhere in the U.S. but must have the flexibility to travel (75%) to company offices client sites across the U.S. The Director will report to the Managing Director of Reimbursement Advisory Services and will have the following responsibilities:
Summary:
The Director will be responsible for managing the program of inter-related projects across the enterprise to successfully transition the ICD-10 code set and after the transition will be responsible for the account management of all ICD-10 clients to ensure overall client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with Managing Director to establish the ICD-10 Service Line in the marketplace.
· Work with hospitals and payers by assisting them with the ongoing ICD-10 education for their staff to ensure a successful overall transition.
· Will be responsible for working with Project Managers to assist and facilitate the transition of ICD-10 from ICD-9 for our clients.
· Provide in-service and ongoing education to consultants and clients.
· Secure leads from current clients for acquiring new client opportunities and provide to Sales team.
· Prepare deliverables and presentation material to clients.
Requirements:
· BA/BS degree in related health care field preferred or associates degree with equivalent business experience, RHIT or RHIA certification preferred.
· Knowledge and experience in inpatient and outpatient coding services in ICD-9.
· Must have working knowledge of ICD-10 impacts and implications to healthcare providers. ICD-10 AHIMA Certified Trainer preferred.
· Experience with implementation of health information exchange initiatives and knowledge of recent healthcare reform legislation and other regulatory drivers including but not limited to: ICD-10, Health Information Exchange and Accountable Care.
· Strong understanding of health care, revenue cycle and health care information systems. Strong preference for candidates with a minimum 5 years of consulting experience.
· Requires strong interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills.
· Demonstrated knowledge with exceptionally strong skills in MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
