Director- Innovation Project Management recruitment
We are currently seeking to hire a Senior Manager, Project Innovation This position is responsible for supporting the lab program at McGraw-Hill Financial (MHF) through project management, development, implementation and deployment of MHF innovation concepts identified through a deliberate market gap assessment. This position provides assistance in the development and deployment of SP Capital IQ Project Management processes, agile development, and other industry best practices.
This position will work closely with all lab leaders and participants and requires excellent business, communication, influencing and negotiating skills with the ability to apply these skills appropriately across all levels.
Essential Accountabilities:
- Actively manage project milestones, issues, and risks across lab program
- Build standard operating procedures, creating project plans, project dashboards and status reports
- Manage project budget and spending
- Lead or support team facilitation and meetings
- Manage coordination with vendors and internal business partners
- Support actions that set direction, develops and monitors individual objectives, and leadership of the team. Assist in the development and maintenance of quality staff by supporting the hiring of skilled personnel; contributing to succession plans; providing training opportunities, training and mentoring junior staff, and administering corporate policies. Support development, monitoring, and control (with the finance team) of the unit's BAU and initiative budgets and is responsible for implementing efficiencies and best practices for the team. Support liaison with parties external to the lab.
Other Required Accountabilities:
- Conducts program risk assessment
- Leads the project via the lab project management process
- Develops and implements the project communication process
- Drives RFI, RFP, SOW processes and negotiates vendor contracts
- Obtains agreement from all stakeholders, with appropriate approvals/signoffs
- Supports the lab software development process
- Conducts post-implementation reviews
- Leads or supports team facilitation sessions
- Delivers presentations to business and technical partners
Skills
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience or certification
- PMP certification a plus
- Green Belt or Black Belt certification a plus
Experience:
- 7+ years of related experience in financial information markets or financial services
- In-depth understanding of all components of project management and software engineering processes
- Prior experience managing vendor relationships/SLAs
- In-depth knowledge of systems analysis methodologies

- Excellent consulting, closure, conflict resolution and agreement solidification skills
