Director Internal Audit

$175,000 - $225,000 + bonus + stock + benefits including relocation(Ohio)

Viewed as a lifestyle brand with a history rooted in the great outdoors this global retailer has enjoyed exponential growth in all 4 divisions that make up the business. With over 300 stores domestically and with a program of rapid growth internationally this $4bn retailer is looking to appoint a new Director of Internal Audit to supervise a team of 10, implement strategic risk plans and implement policy procedural improvements to create a best in class department. Based in the corporate Head Quarters this role with be the first step in a internal career that will have no ceiling

- Responsible for consultative / advisory internal audit projects with business owners within different areas of the business both domestically and internationally

- Oversight of store audit program with four direct reports domestically and future international direct reports

- Assist in corporate governance training and ethics investigations

- Involved with assessing company risk for the international growth and determining the internal audit coverage internationally

- Assist in developing departmental budget

- Assist with developing staff within the department for future growth outside the department

BA/BS in business/analytical related major (MBA a plus)

CPA, Chartered Accountant or local equivalent

Minimum of 10 years experience, including audit and/or internal audit experience with a major public accounting firm or a US based retailer / consumer products company

Prior exposure with multinational operations and financial reporting across multiple jurisdictions in Europe and / or Asia

A well – rounded background that includes experience in several areas of financial operations/corporate finance

Solid understanding of US GAAP

Creative approach to problem solving with a humble, team-oriented and optimistic approach

Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast paced environment
