Director Level – Fundraising/Placement/Distribution recruitment

Skills required:

The candidate will possess demonstrable private equity fundraising experience from a fund placement agent, a private equity house or similar institution in a fundraising role.  They will be a versatile individual, with an excellent understanding of the private equity universe.  They must have a strong network of relationships with institutional investors (pension funds, insurance companies, sovereign wealth funds, etc. ) interested in the infrastructure asset class.

In view of their experience, they will have the necessary skills and demeanour to handle investor relationships to the highest professional standards in the industry.  Experience and knowledge of the energy space is highly desirable.

This is a rare opportunity to join a unique and growing business at the ground level.  The candidate will have significant input into the strategy and contribute to building out the business. Our client works with a range of funds varying in strategy, location and size, as well as on secondary portfolios.  It operates in a technically complex sector and one of the fastest growing markets in private equity.  The team also provides advice on all aspects of the fundraising process, including market assessment, competitive positioning, preparation of marketing materials and documentation.

To fill this position the candidate would preferably have a background in private equity (although other backgrounds which demonstrate specialised experience in this asset class and high calibre relationships with institutional investors, where demonstrable, would be considered). They should be fully aware of issues and regulations (both existing practices as well as new legislation) within the private equity space as well as their LPs’ universe. They should be a well presented, articulate and driven individual, capable of running complex sales campaigns with long sales cycles. They should be self-motivated and comfortable working as part of a team.
