Director, Living Wills Programme recruitment
Tier one investment bank seeks a Director level candidate to head up its Living Wills Resolution programme. The bank is one of the Systemically Important Financial Institutions (SIFIs), deemed 'too big to fail' by the Regulators. SIFIs are required to submit credible Living Wills which describe how they will mitigate systematic impact in the event of a crisis. A large amount of data needs to be managed to support the maintenance of the programme and this will be consolidated in a new strategic repository.
The candidate will play a pivotal role in tracking multiple work streams and will have responsibility for the following;
Key Responsibilities;
- Develop and maintain a global Resolution response consistent with the latest Regulator requirements
- Create an enterprise-wide view of interconnectedness and analyze related decomposition issues
- Design and manage the process to refresh resolution data on a periodic basis including:
- significant Legal entities
- significant economic functions
- key MIS systems
- critical staff
- critical systems
- significant contracts
- Identify Ex Ante Actions, potential owners, and define next steps
Business Requirements
- Experience working within a Banking/Financial organisation
- Minimum foundation level knowledge of financial products, including derivatives
- Keeps abreast of key developments across the financial landscape
- Builds knowledge of organization, structure, products, and services
- Builds key relationships with business sources and stakeholders
General Requirements
- Methodical, analytical approach, pays close attention to detail
- Project Management skills and experience, ideally Prince II qualified or similar
- Highly motivated
- Proven track record working as part of a team
- Highly efficient, responds well to working under pressure and meets challenging deadlines
