Director, Mezzanine Finance
You will work with broader team of investment professionals to lead all aspects of mezzanine investment transactions from sourcing to execution to post-closing monitoring. This position is an integral part of the team, responsible for the important aspects of live transactions including origination, financial analysis and due diligence process, and portfolio monitoring.
- Assist in originating attractive investment opportunities
- Perform due diligence, including analysis of industry and sector, suppliers and customers, competition, assessment of management strengths and weaknesses
- Prepare complex financial models
- Assemble due diligence findings into investment committee presentations focusing on detailed investment overview, investment strengths and weaknesses, proposed structure and exit strategy, and other relevant findings from due diligence process
- Executing transactions (including legal documentation)
- Assist in monitoring investment performance (investigate variances in budgets, reporting, internal controls. Deploy measures to resolve variances)
Qualifications:
Successful candidate will possess the following:
- 5-8 years of relevant experience with a strong emphasis on mezzanine credit analysis (mezzanine or private equity, public, accounting, Big 4 transaction services, middle-market or top-tier investment bank or consulting firm)
- Sourcing contacts and capabilities
- Understanding of the investment process
- Solid foundation in finance
- Excellent modeling skills
- Ability to conduct comprehensive research and synthesize results
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Mature and resourceful team player, with strong work ethic and organizational skills
